ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Local bar and restaurant The Barn is teaming up with the Strike Out Breast Cancer awareness group to provide fundraising.

The Barn is holding a raffle in conjunction with the local stock car racers they sponsor.

“For the race for the cure we kinda got together with a couple of the racing teams we sponsor here locally. We sponsor Tristan Tucker Racing and Kinneer, CJ Kinneer,” explained Barn Owner Jim Watson,” So Tristan has this side panel that has the Barn logo and part of the sponsorship that he was gonna bring to me and I thought I could hang it up here, it’ll be really cool but could we use it for something positive? So, I thought about raffling it off. Then I got the Kinneer racing team involved, and they came up with some apparel and some of the Uncle Killers grill seasoning to add to the raffle.”

Tickets for the raffle go for $5.00 a ticket and the winner will be picked on November 6th. All proceeds, as well as proceeds from a t-shirt sale, will go to Strike Out Breast Cancer.

“They were conceived about six years ago and they just help people with costs that are involved with their treatment or with cosmetics or different things that people may need,” explained Watson. “Wigs if they’re going through chemo, or different bras and things like that as they’re fighting through this terrible disease. They kinda help with costs that insurance doesn’t cover.”

Pink t-shirts cost $12 each and can be bought at The Barn.
