ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Kim Tatman of the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center held a virtual meeting with the County Commissioners this morning.

The meeting was to kick off “Dude Be Kind” week. The week is an annual event meant to promote kinder actions in the Muskingum County area through daily challenges.

“Monday is pay a compliment to somebody. Tuesday is be kind to your neighbor, do something nice for your neighbor. Wednesday is of course Veteran’s Day, in honor of Veteran’s Day. Thursday is for the elederly, do something nice for the elderly. Friday is share your hope, they actually have a couple speakers there at Muskingum Valley who do that, and Saturday is just good ol’ fashioned manners.”, commissioner Cindy Cameron said at their meeting.

Tatman and the commissioners see the week as a great example for the children of Muskingum Valley to learn valuable lessons on kindness.

“She thinks it helps for the kids to see that leaders are supporting this and that we’re behind it, that it’s for everybody of all ages, kids, adults, the elderly, your coworkers. Like she said, it can be somebody in your family, your neighbor, somebody you work with, somebody at your church, she just would like it to spread throughout everybody.”, Cameron continued.

This is the fourth annual Dude Be Kind week.
