Chamber of Commerce Makes Ready For Spring Break

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Chamber of Commerce is readying for its annual Spring Break meeting.
The meeting will be again held virtually as it was last year. Chamber president Dana Matz tells us more.
“The Spring Break event is our annual meeting and our annual meeting is when we report to our board members. Given our current times and current technology we’re opening this up for the public to watch so they can see just what the chamber does as we talk about all of the things our members have done over the year. It’s a nice opportunity for the community to learn about the business community and the Chamber of Commerce.”, Matz told WHIZ.
The event will have a special theme and will be emceed by WHIZ’s George Hiotis. Part of the event will be filling in the public on how the Chamber’s year went.
“One thing we always recognize is the investment that our members put back into the community. We give an award called the Aces Award, it’s an award for community and economic success. We’ll talk about that. The chamber also oversees the safety council program for the Ohio BWC and we’ll recognize the businesses that are participating in the safety council.”, Matz continued.
The event can be viewed by the public on Facebook Live and WHIZ and will be held on Friday, March 19th.
