Margaret “Peg” A. Gillespie

Margaret “Peg” A. Gillespie, 87 of Zanesville, died 3:00 AM, Friday, January 22, 2021, at The Oaks at Northpointe. She was born Monday, August 7, 1933, in Zanesville, the daughter of Paul Snider and Ruth (King) Snider. She married Richard W. Gillespie on Saturday, June 26, 1954, and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Peg enjoyed reading, going to the beach, and the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to cross stitch, do ceramics and was an avid card player.

Peg is survived by two daughters: Kathy (Mike) Edie of Newark and Julie (Casey) Henson of Zanesville; three grandsons:  Jason (Jamie) Dickerson and Justin Dickerson both of Zanesville, and Geoffrey Edie of Newark; three great grandsons: Colton, Collin & Kingzton Dickerson, and two brothers:  Robert (Martha) Snider and Pete (Laura) Snider.

In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded in death by her husband Richard Gillespie and two sisters.

Private family services will be held at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home with Fr. Jan C.P.
