Shane McClellan

Shane D. McClellan, 45, of Toboso, Ohio died Sunday, January 31, 2021 at his home.
Born May 11, 1975 in Newark, Ohio he was a son of the late David J. McClellan and Shirley J. (Bucklew) McClellan of Toboso. Shane was a 1993 graduate of Newark Catholic High School where he was a member of the football team and the wrestling team. For the past 28 years Shane has worked at Holophane of Newark where he was a glass inspector. He was a member of Toboso United Methodist Church and the United Steelworkers Union Local #525. Shane was an avid outdoorsman and gun enthusiast. He loved deer hunting, farming, and riding his ATV. He was also an avid Civil War Buff and participated in many Civil War reenactment’s, including several at the Gettysburg battlefield.
Surviving in addition to his mother is his sister, Dawn McClellan of Toboso; a special friend, Lawrence “Moose” Waldren of Newark and many other close friends and neighbors.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister Tawn McClellan; a brother, Shawn McClellan; his paternal grandparents, Lindsey and Ada McClellan and his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Nadine Bucklew.
Shirley and Dawn wish to thank all their friends and neighbors for all the help they have received over the last several days. They are forever grateful and feel so blessed to be a part of the Toboso community for the last 45 years.
Calling hours will be from 1pm to 4pm Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Due to Covid restrictions, masks are required to be worn.
Funeral services will be at 4:00pm Saturday February 6, 2021 at the funeral home with Pastor Pat Iddings officiating.
