Dog of the Week

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-If you mix together one wagging tail, four paws and one wet nose you’ll get this week’s Dog Warden and Adoption Center’s dog of the week, Baker. 

Baker has been at the shelter since early February and is a very energetic little fella. He’s fully vaccinated, loves car rides and would be perfect for an active family. 

“He does have some energy, so I think someone that would be a little bit active with him. He starts off very energetic on your walks but as you walk he seems to keep the same pace and is pretty manageable to walk… I think he would be because he’s very friendly.”, representative Doug McQuaid tells us.

Baker is a dog that is well built and has high energy. The adoption center volunteers recommend a specific diet and exercise to maintain long term good health. 

“What we feed at the AC is more of a higher protein, it keeps weight on them and so on and so forth and anything that might be lacking it has the right ingredients in it to keep their body in tune.”, McQuaid explains.
