COVID-19 Update: one death and 47 new cases in Muskingum County

ZANESVILLE, Ohio– The Muskingum County Joint Unified Command Center on Friday reported the county’s 124th COVID-19 related death.
Officials said an 81-year-old died with COVID-19 pneumonia.
The Command Center also reported that 47 Muskingum County residents have tested positive for COVID-19. This number breaks down as follows: 24 reported on 4/7 and 23 reported on 4/8.
There are now 106 active cases of COVID-19 in the county with 7 hospitalizations.
As of Friday, 26,618 in Muskingum County have started the vaccination process while 20,514 have completed it.
