Warren D. Abele

Warren D. Abele, 75, of Dresden, went to be with his Lord and Savior at 8:40 P.M. Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 10, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota a son of the late Richard and Jean Moe Abele. Warren retired from Metler Toledo Scale Company and had worked for AK Steel as a security guard for 5 ½ years. He was a member of the Hands of Faith Church, loved to play cards, had been a volunteer fireman for Washington Twp. Fire Department and enjoyed bowling.

Surviving are his loving wife, Rebecca Dunn Abele, whom he married November 27, 1977; children, Debra (John) Brown, Robert Abele, Jeff (Linda) Abele, Amy (Troy) Blackford, Allen (Maureen) Christian and Richard (Holly) Abele; eighteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three brothers, Michael (Marilee) Abele, Jack (Pat) Abele, and Lester (Tammy) Abele; and a sister, Pat (Dean) Harper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffrey Douglas Abele.

Friends and family may call from 10 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 12 P.M. on Friday, April 23, 2021 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Rev. Jeff Fountain officiating. He will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville.
