Lorena Sternwheeler Rides begin June 9

MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- The Lorena Sternwheeler will be available for rides starting June 9.
If you’re looking for a fun, outdoor activity, The Lorena will be offering public rides all summer. Guests can take a cruise down the Muskingum River and enjoy scenic woodlands along the way.
“We are inviting guests that are more than welcome to bring on their own refreshments on board. We are doing public rides as well as public twilight cruises… It’s something, get outside, enjoy the fresh air and it’s very relaxing to cruise up the Muskingum River and back down,” Zanesville-Muskingum County Convention and Visitors Bureau Sales and Marketing Director Ashley Cook said.
Times vary for different days to ride on the Lorena. Private birthday, anniversary and family events can be reserved as well.
“We see that the tourism industry is picking up so this year we are requiring 48 hours in advance reservations to ride the Lorena Sternwheeler. They call the welcome center and make the reservation,” Cook said.
For more information, you can visit the Lorena Sternwheeler Facebook page as updates are posted weekly or the Visit Zanesville website.
