New Concord Fire Department called to Beckett House for coolant leak

An early Wednesday morning incident at a nursing home in New Concord forced the evacuation of some residents. 

Fire fighters were called to Continuing Healthcare at Beckett House just before 3:00 a.m.

Officials with the Beckett House said it was determined to be coolant leaking from the cooling unit in the front conference room. They say the all clear was given and residents returned to the building. At no time were any residents in danger.

  The New Concord Fire Department was first on the scene and received help from Cambridge Fire Fighters and Community Ambulance.
