MUSKINGUM COUNTY, Ohio- The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Zanesville is having a two-day fundraiser at the Bee Clean Express Wash on Maple Avenue.

The first day concluded this evening and day two will begin tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This spare change fundraiser  was rescheduled and with the weather looking nice, the event is looking to be successful.

“We always look to partner with new businesses in the area and Bee Clean approached us and they wanted to do something to collaborate in order to impact the youth in the community… We appreciate anybody’s support. Every little bit adds up to make a big impact,” BBBSZ Executive Director Katie Mainini said.

This is the first time BBBSZ and Bee Clean have partnered together. Typically, Bee Clean is busiest on Fridays and that showed Friday at 11 a.m. as customers were donating their spare change instantly as they arrived at the car wash.

“I think it’s giving back to the community to show that we’re here to support our local community with everything that’s going on right now… It’s going to support more youth in the community and show the kids out there that there are good organizations around and hopefully it will support our community in more ways that we’ll know,” Bee Clean Express Wash General Manager Ish Howe said.

All the proceeds raised from the event will go towards Big Brothers Big Sisters of Zanesville youth programs.
