The Panthers fell in three straight sets to the Tornados 18-25, 21-25, 23-25. Maysville’s Izzy Hutchison had 10 kills and 7 digs. Jayda McGarvey added five kills., while Hannah Fulkerson had 3 kills, 2 aces and 17 assists.
West Muskingum: Sydney McWhorter led the team with 15 kills and 8 digs. Junior Rebecca Strunk added 4 kills and Camryn Welch had 4 kills.

Emma Johnson led the Muskies with 9 kills, 16 assists, 2 aces, 9 digs and 1 block in the victory Tuesday night. Abby Buchtel added 6 kills, 14 digs and 1 ace. Emma Dolan would help the team with 7 kills, 2 aces and 100 percent serving. Hannah DeMattio had5 kills and 4 blocks. Ryann Durben 3 kills, 4 aces, 12 digs and1 block. Emma Briggs 17 digs, 100 percent serving. John Glenn will play a tri-match at New Lexington Thursday. The freshman game begins at 5pm.
Sheridan: 3 Coshocton: 0
It took three sets for the Sheridan Generals to defeat the Coshocton Redskins in the season opener for both teams. The Generals scored 16-25, 21-21-25 and 23-25.
Leaders for Coshocton were: Lindsay Bryant with 6 kills, 6 digs, and 1 service ace, Hailey Helter had 5 kills and 2 aces, Ella Bible with 4 kills, 2 aces and 3 blocks. Jalynn West had 8 digs and 21 assists. Addy Gordon had 5 kills and 3 aces.
The Redskins home opener is Thursday at 5:00pm.

The Colts Varsity Volleyball team traveled to Duncan Falls and beat the Electrics in straight sets 25-15, 25-15, 25-18. Meadowbrook improves to 2-0 (1-0 MVL) on the season. The Colts host Sheridan on Thursday in a rematch of last years Regional Semifinal game.

John Glenn volleyball sweeps past visiting Crooksville in three sets 25-11, 25-18, 25-19 in a MVL match-up Tuesday inside the Fish Tank in New Concord.
Granville: 3 Heath: 1
Granville defeated Heath on Tuesday night 25-19, 18-25, 27-25, 25-11. The Blue Aces now improve to 1-0 on the season. They were led by Ava Poling who had 8 kills, Ava Gossman who added 7 kills, 2 blocks and 13 digs, Sophia Fraley had 7 kills and 3 blocks. Bella Wintermuth had five kills and 6 aces.
Heath was led by Taylor Hoover who had 12 kills, Taylia Holmes had 7 kills and 22 assists, Corrine Ault had 5 kills and Renae Cunningham had 4 kills. Kaylia Krueger had 11 digs and 15 serves received.

Licking Valley Varsity team wins over Lakewood 25-17, 25-9, 21-25, 25-22. Cassie Orr, Amanda Hains and Bree Creech all had 8 Kills. Emily Bone with 14 digs and 28 assists. Mady Jones, Emma Gant and Brooklyn Ashbaugh all had 12 digs each. Brooklyn Ashbaugh and Emma Gant both had 4 aces each.

The Bulldogs came out victorious in their contest with Whitehall-Yearling. Junior Allie Dunlap netted 4 goals and added 3 assists, Brielle Keck added two goals and Jayna McCrory had one.

GIRLS TENNIS:
The Lady Cats tennis team even their season record to 3-3, with a 4-1 victory over Zanesville on the road.
1st Singles- Makena Brown fell to Zanesville’s Amaya Yockey 3-6, 3-4,3-6.
2nd Singles- Gabby Porter beat Rojie Tooms 6-3, 6-2.
3rd Singles- Kylie Taylor beat Emneria Johnson 6-1, 6-4.
1st Doubles- Kara Loader and Ziciah Gibson beat Jersey Drough and Kammie Simon 6-2, 6-0.
2nd Doubles- Braxton King and Sidney Kirkbride beat Chloe VanFossen and Chloe Duchanan 6-1, 6-0. Azlyn Lafolette and Lexis O’Donnell won with a score of 8-3.Kilee Jeffery lost with a score of 3-8.
REYNOLDSBURG: 4 NEWARK: 1
Reynoldsburg defeated Newark girls tennis 4-1. The lone winner for Newark occurred at 3rd singles where Natalie Breckenridge won 6-3, 6-0. With the loss, Newark is now 2-2 overall. Next up, Newark will host Central crossing on Thursday.
GIRLS GOLF:
Sheridan girls shot a 159 to defeat Warren High School and Fairfield Union.
Shauna White tied Meg Saffell’s individual record with a 37 on their home course.
BOYS GOLF:
Sheridan Varsity boys won at home vs Lakewood. Gavin Emmert was medalist with a 40. Blake Turnes, Blaine Hannan and Cooper Winders each shot a 41.

Zanesville: 10 West Holmes: 1
The Blue Devils’ Riley Needles score six goals in the win over the Knights Tuesday night. Evan Dinan added three and Cam Van Kirk score one in the victory. Sam Lightle made 5 saves for Zanesville.

The River View Boys Soccer Team got off to an early start in their home opener against the young New Lexington Panthers squad scoring in the first minute of the game. The Bears never looked back after that first goal as they defeated the Panthers 16-0 to improve to 2-0 on the season and the Panthers fell to 0-2 on the season.

The Bobcats shut out Harrison Central on Tuesday night led by John Goonan and Briley Hamm, who both scored two goals a piece. Grayson Geese and Andrew Filippis added to the scoring with one goal a piece.
