Boil advisory issued due to water main break on Fairway Lane

ZANESVILLE, Ohio–Crews with the Zanesville Water Division are working to repair a water main break in the 3000 block of Fairway Lane.

The following areas will be affected by low pressure:

Fairway Lane

Country Club Drive

Pfeiffer Drive

Including Meadowood Apartments and Maple View Terrace.  

A precautionary boil alert is being issued for customers in the affected area once the repair is completed and pressure is restored. 

DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST. Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for at least one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and food preparation until further notice. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.

This precautionary boil advisory is issued only for the affected area.  Water samples will be collected once the work is completed and service is restored. An additional notice will be given when the boil advisory is lifted.
