ZANESVILLE, Ohio- This Friday, the United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties is kicking off its 2021 campaign to raise awareness for their charity drive of personal care items and payroll donation program.

The campaign kick-off will include a food truck rally at the esplanade of the Muskingum County courthouse and donation bins for personal care items.

“We encourage everybody on Friday between 10:30AM and whenever the food runs out to come and get some good lunch and support United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan counties, and help us get our campaign kicked off this year,” Kyle Dunn, resource development director with United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan counties stated.

The campaign will last until the end of the year, and information on how to donate through payroll deductions will be available.

“Last year the United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan County served roughly 12,000 local families, and over 1,700 people -again locally participated. We need food and other resources, and this is a great opportunity for those of us to help our neighbors by providing food. So I would recommend driving down Main Street, or 4th Street tomorrow -again food or personal care items- we’ll accept donations,” Don Mason, Zanesville Mayor stated.

The United Way said if your employer allows paycheck deduction donations for United Way, even just a dollar from each paycheck goes a long way when a lot of people chip in. The Love’s Snack Shack and El Palenque will also be present at the food truck event tomorrow. For more information on the event tomorrow of the campaign running into the end of the year, you can go to the United Way of Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan Counties Facebook page.
