Volleyball Tournament Results 10.18.21

DII SOUTHEAST

The Sheridan girls volleyball team advanced in tournament play with a win over River Valley. Sheridan will now face Unioto on Wednesday.

DII PATASKALA 2

HEATH: 3 LICKING VALLEY: 0

The Bulldogs defeated the Panthers 22-25, 15-25 and 20-25.

Heath will now travel to London to take on the fifth seed Red Raiders. The game is set for 6pm.

DIII EAST

In a girls Division III sectional volleyball opening round match, the Coshocton Redskins picked up a 4 set victory over Sandy Valley by the scores of: 25-15,23-25,25-21 and 25-19.

Junior setter, Jalynn West, led the ‘Skin’s offensive attack by dishing out 40 assists, to go along with her 5kills and 2 service aces.  West set up a host of Redskin arms led by Lindsay Bryant who pounded 15 kills, Kenidi Jackson who collected 9, Hailey Helter who had 8, and Addy Gordon who had 6 kills for the Red and Black. 

The defense was anchored by Miyah Davis who dug up 22 Cardinal attacks, while Gordon added 19 and Bryant and West had 13 and 12 digs respectively. 

The victory moves the Redskins to 16-7 on the season and sets up a Sectional Championship showdown with Hiland on Saturday morning in The Wigwam. Game time is 11:00am.  

DIV EAST

CALDWELL: 3 STEUBENVILLE CENTRAL CATHOLIC: 0

The number 3 seed Redskins defeated number 7 seed Central Catholic in straight sets.

Caldwell now faces sixth seed Strasburg-Franklin for a sectional championship on October 21 at 6pm.
