Correction: FIG-Rippon’s Journey story

In a story published Jan. 22, 2022, about figure skater Adam Rippon, The Associated Press erroneously reported he was the first openly gay U.S. Olympian. Rippon is the first openly gay U.S. Winter Olympian to win a medal, a bronze, at the 2018 Games.
