Charles “Charlie” Hawk Sr.

Charles “Charlie” Hawk Sr., 76, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Genesis Hospital. He was born August 9, 1945 in Baltimore, MD to the late Samuel and Opal Glisan Hawk. Charlie retired from Owens Brockway Glass, worked part time at Vista View and was an avid golfer. He was a member of the American Legion Post #29 and was a Free and Accepted Mason. He served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife Lynne Jones Hawk; children: Charles “Kenny” (Lynda) Hawk and Dawn Elizabeth Daily; a sister in law Dorothea Hawk; four grandchildren: Charles “Chas” Hawk III, Lydia Hawk, Christopher (Katie) Daily and Samuel Daily; three great grandchildren: Klayton Daily, Addi Daily and Maverick Daily; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother George Hawk; two sisters: Pauline Owings and Marie Anthony.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 or the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
