A Night of One Acts Returns to the Renner!

Night Of One Acts 2026

ZANESVILLE, OH – A Night of One Acts is returning to the Renner Theatre this Friday.

A Night of One Acts will be on Friday, November 6th at 7:30 and it’s a night with two shows to help benefit projects as well as camps put on by the Renner’s Jr. Theatre Committee.

Mayah Dalton, the Director of Witch Hunt 2.0, says her show follows a group of high schoolers preparing for a speech competition about the Salem Witch Trials with a fun twist near the end.

“It’s my first time directing, me and Ashlynn have had so much fun working with all of the kids.” Dalton said. “They all have been so great and I know personally with his Don character, the choices he makes in Witch Hunt with his lines are just, they’re phenomenal, I’ve had so much fun, so many laughs. It’s great when you’re directing a show but there’s just like a relationship but you can also have your serious moments but also then it’s light hearted too.”

The second show in the Night of One Acts will be “Uh, I think the Psych Teacher is Dead” which follows students and their teacher who may have died under mysterious circumstances.

Maddox Turner, who will be playing the Class Clown, says it’s been great working with the cast of both shows and figuring out how he can convey each character for the audience.

“It’s been really fun, a lot of the characters get to interact together.” Turner said. “It’s not just two people together and two other people are together, they’re intertwined in a way.”

Tickets for the Night of One Acts can be purchased at the door or online at therennner.org.

They are $8 for children 12 and under and $15 for teens and seniors.
