Gallis Pleads Guilty in Voyeurism Case

The Muskingum County Prosecutor’s Office reached a swift resolution to a voyeurism case involving a minor victim after learning of the details last week.

46-year-old James Gallis plead guilty to three fifth-degree felony counts of voyeurism. Charges were filed last week when the minor victim in the case reported that she found the defendant’s cellphone recording her while in the bathroom and bedroom.

The Prosecutor’s Office said Gallis faces a maximum sentence of three years in prison and will be required to register annually as a tier III sex offender for 15 years.

During the course of the investigation by the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office Gallis admitted to leaving his phone recording in various locations where the minor victim would be undressing.
