Triple fatal crash in Muskingum County

ZANESVILLE, Ohio–The State Highway Patrol is investigating a one vehicle accident on Interstate 70 East that resulted in three fatalities.
The accident happened around 2:00 p.m. Tuesday near milepost 163 in Perry Township.
The Zanesville Post reports that 41-year-old Jennifer Parrigan of Cambridge was traveling eastbound on I-70 when she drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
Troopers said two passengers were inside the vehicle, 29-year-old Ashley Stitt and 46-year-old Brian Keith, both of Cambridge.
O.S.H.P. said all three occupants died as a result of their injuries.
The crash caused I-70 eastbound traffic to be diverted onto U.S. 22 at Exit 160 for approximately 2 hours.
The accident remains under investigation.
