Blystone Campaigns in Cambridge

Blystone 2

An area farmer is making his political debut this campaign season.

Joe Blystone made an appearance at the Pritchard Laughlin Civic Center in Cambridge to further his presence in Ohio’s rural areas. Blystone is one of several candidates running on the republican ticket to become Ohio’s next governor.

“Well, I’m an honest guy. I’m a Christian, every decision I make, its not without a bit of prayer. We have to decide are we gonna do things because they’re right, they’re godly, they’re righteous or we going do.. Are we gonna make decisions dependent on how much money it puts in our pocket” said Blystone.

Blystone is the owner of a farm, butcher shop, market and steakhouse but has given all that up since last February to pursue his campaign. He hopes to regain freedom for the State of Ohio.

“I would say some of the big things are people are worried about freedom these days, unlike in past elections, were worried about our freedom, were worried about our children and our grandchildren being raised in the great country we grow up in,” said Blystone.

The primary election will take place May 3. Blystone is running against Governor Mike DeWine who is seeking reelection, U.S. Representative Jim Renacci and former state representative Ron Hood.
