Lenox Avenue Fire

Lenox

For the second morning in a row the Zanesville Fire Department battled a house fire.

The fire took place in the 600 block of Lenox Avenue just after 4AM. Assistant Chief Doug Hobson said that two males were in the home at the time of the fire and one was taken to the hospital as a precaution for smoke inhalation. He was treated and released.

Hobson said the fire was electrical in nature and started in the living room area. He said they were able to put the fire out quickly.

The American Red Cross has been called in to assist.

Hobson said there’s no other information at this time on a fire that took place Thursday on Goddard Avenue.
