WHIZ Sports 4-25: Scotties Shock Electrics, Defeat Philo 9-3 in Softball

DUNCAN FALLS, OH- The gloomy weather did not stop Tri-Valley and Philo from competing in a high-level softball game between two Muskingum Valley League teams.

The Scotties jumped out to an early lead thanks to a five-run third inning and they looked to add to the lead. But, Philo would get out of the jam and look to create momentum on their home field.

The home team came up with a couple big hits, including a bases-clearing double that brought in three runs. Despite the big inning, the Electrics still trailed. Tri-Valley played solid defense throughout the game, led by the pitching of Belle Baughman.

Tri-Valley would go on to defeat Philo 9-3.
