ZANESVILLE, Ohio – This Saturday free physicals for student athletes will be available at Orthopaedic Association of Zanesville.

Students who will be playing sports in the 2022-2023 school year are encouraged to attend.

The services are for students who are between the 7th and 12th grade.

Physician Benjamin Pulley says that the center is invested in seeing athletes thrive.

“We’re really invested in all the local athletes and keeping them in the game, on the field, healthy, participating in sports that they enjoy. And so this is a really nice event where we can bring in a lot of those kids and a lot of those student athletes and offer them something that they need to start the next season for free,” Dr. Pulley told us.

There will also be physicians from all over the community helping.

The office will have the required forms already available for families.

“Our goal is to make it as easy for the parents and the kids as possible, and so kids will come in, they’ll have their physical with one of our providers. Then we’ll fill out– there’s a sheet that they need from the OHSAA that we’ll fill out for them. And then we’ll actually turn it into their school for them,” he said.

There are no appointments needed, they will be open on a first come, first serve basis.

The offices will be open from 8am to 11am.
