Christina M. McConnell

Christina M. McConnell, 59 of Nashport, died 2:02 PM, Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born Sunday, March 31, 1963, in Zanesville, the daughter of John C. Tetak, Sr. and Myra (Crom) Tetak, and was an active life-long member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

Christina was a Welding Inspector with PG&E, Gulf Interstate Engineering. She was a very generous and caring person who always had her arms open to help anyone in need. Christina was a very classy and intelligent lady who expected the best from everyone, and was well respected by those who knew her. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who raised three children on her own. Christina always was involved in all the activities of her grandchildren, and was very proud of each of them.

Christina is survived by three children, Robert (Cassondra) McConnell, Vanessa McConnell and Michael McConnell; five grandchildren, Zayden, Zariah, Kingston, Jocelyn and Julie; three siblings, Steve (Jeanie Coates) Tetak, Sheila Wilson, and David Tetak and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Christina was preceded in death by one brother, John Tetak, Jr.; one sister, Mary Susan Tetak and one sister-in-law, Vicki Tetak.

Friends may call 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where a Christian Vigil will be held at 6:45 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Friday, March 24, 2023, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 955 East Main Street, Zanesville, with Fr. Martin J. Ralko as celebrant.
