Marlys “Marty” June Rice
Marlys “Marty” June Rice, 89 of Zanesville died at 12:10 P.M. Monday, March 27, 2023 at Genesis Hospital.
She was born June 28, 1933 in LaPorte, Iowa the daughter of Charles Edwin Willwerth and Margaret Eva Kaufman Willwerth.
Marlys was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and retired as owner & operator of Meadows Homes in Warsaw Missouri. She enjoyed working crossword puzzels.
She is survived by her children; Jeff Rice & Linda (Patrick) Dudas; grandchildren, Andrew Rice , Eric (Karley) Rice, Rachel (T.J. Nichols) Dudas & John Dudas. In addition to her parents, Marlys was preceded in death by 2 sisters & 3 brothers.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Friday, March 31st at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Ralko as celebrant. Burial will take place later.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
