County Leaders discuss Replacement of Bridge in Muskingum County

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – County leaders met to discuss the replacement of a bridge in Muskingum County.

The Administrative Deputy for the Muskingum County Engineers Office, Matt Russell scheduled a bid opening at the Muskingum County Commissioners Office Thursday. The replacement project is for the 50 foot Cannelville Road bridge located off of 555 right outside of Roseville. Russell said they’ve received one bid for the original $705,000 estimated project.

“We only received one bid and that bid came from U.S Bridge. Right now, It looks like that bid was under the original estimated price. Next we will take a look at the bid and verify that amount,” said Russell. “The estimate was for 705,000 and the bid from U.S Bridge was for $704,000 which was just barely under that amount..”

Russel said if they decide to go forward with U.S Bridge for the project, they are expecting the bridge to be completed later this fall.
