Have You Seen This Man?

Newark Police need help identifying a suspect who robbed a fruit and vegetable stand.Police said on Sunday, July 17 around 5:30pm they received a report of a robbery at the Witten Farms Fruits and Vegetables Stand located on North 21st Street.

An 18-year-old female employee said the white male possibly in his 50’s wearing a light gray shirt, black shorts, and black athletic shoes claimed to have a weapon and demanded cash. The suspect is believed to be 6’3 with a wide or fit build with very short salt and pepper hair. The public is asked to look at the sketch provided and keep in mind the suspect may have signs of aging that aren’t well depicted.

The suspect left the parking lot in a silver car, possibly a Pontiac Grand Prix with a temporary license plate. The vehicle turned north on 21st Street.
