ZHS Quarterback Club Hosts Golf Outing

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Â Nearly 75 golfers took to the course for a good cause Sunday morning.
Each year the Quarterback Club holds a fundraiser at Green Valley Golf Course to raise money for the Zanesville High School Football Team. Head Coach, Chad Grandstaff said this is a way for their supporters, fans, and fathers to get together for a good time and fellowship.
“As you know football is an expensive sport and the Quarterback Club tries to offset the money that once the athletic department money is spent the Quarterback Club is able to offset some money and be able to provide meals during two-a-day’s and meals for the players after a game, provide charter buses for those longer away games. To also have quality gear and things like to run a top notch football program,” said Coach Grandstaff.
The top prize is $10,000 for a hole-in-one on 4 different holes. Coach Grandstaff told us he is happy with the turnout and the team appreciates the support they’ve received from the community.
“Like I always say it’s not just about us, it’s about everybody and the more we can bring the city of Zanesville together and do some of these great things and we’re always appreciative of the way the community, parents and blue devil supporters back us. It takes a lot of people to run a top notch program and we appreciate everything they give us,” said Coach Grandstaff.
Coach Grandstaff expressed his gratitude for the for Quarterback Club and the Mother’s Club for their hard work and dedication to the team.
