Zanesville Dog Park Plan Moves Forward

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Riverside Dog Park Committee has been working hard putting together quotes for construction and raising funds.

After hearing about the project, Nestle Purina reached out to those involved in the dog park to learn more about the park, and possibly how they can help out.

“The committee was really excited about that,” said Jay Bennett, Public Service and Community Development Director, City of Zanesville. “We did a tour of the Riverside sites and maybe some future sites, larger dog areas, if you will.”

Bennett said that the meeting went so well that Nestle Purina’s Corporate officials will be coming into Zanesville later this week to discuss the possibility of assisting in the dog park.

“The committee is working hard and we are anticipating having a dog park area at Riverside Park late this year.”

Bennett also said that the committee is working on surveying the community to come up with an official name for the area.
