This Week’s Pet of The Week is Proof Age is Just a Number

ZANESVILLE, – This week’s Pet of The Week is proof that age is just a number.
Baxter is a 13-year-old mix of retriever, labrador, and boxer with an endearing personality. Despite his senior status, Baxter’s energy and love for life is boundless. His friendly and gentle disposition make him ideal for anyone searching for a companion. Although, Baxter cannot be around cats.
“A Veteran would be perfect for this animal. It was two veterans that had him before. We’re happy knowing that he made them happy,” April Gibson, the Animal Shelter Society Executive Director said.
The Animal Shelter Society is honoring Veterans by offering specials on spays, neuters, and adoptions, making it easier than ever for veterans to provide loving homes for their furry friends.
“If they want to call here and ask for me, then I can give them a certificate and they can utilize it in the next 30 days. We just want to give back to them. They’ve done an awful lot for us. They sacrificed a lot,” Gibson said.
