ZANESVILLE, OH – Get ready to deck the halls of downtown Zanesville, as it gears up for the Storybook Christmas event.

On December 8th, the heart of Zanesville will come alive with the spirit of Christmas. From 5 pm to 9pm, visitors can look forward to carriage rides to enjoy the decorative streets of Downtown, ice-skating, reindeer dust making, and so much more.

“We have various activities taking place all throughout the downtown area. We have carriage rides here at the Welcome Center, trolly rides at the Muskingum County Senior Center, as well as a craft show that’s going on there. We have ice skating taking place as well in the lower parking lot here at the Welcome Center. Ice skating is $5 a person. As well as a lot of our local shops here in downtown will be open as well.” Sales and Marketing Director for Visit Zanesville, Ashley Cook said.

Young attendees will have the chance to write a letter to Santa at the “Letters to Santa” station… and adding to the festive atmosphere, various Christmas characters will be present and spreading the holiday spirit through downtown.

“This is a great night for families to come downtown and create fun holiday memories together. Whether they are participating in the activities such as the carriage rides or visiting Santa, or ice skating, or just strolling around and seeing all the Christmas decorations. ”
