Sherry Marie Hatfield, 77, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at her residence on November 2, 2026, with her loving sisters by her side.

Sherry was born on September 17, 1949 to the late Rufus William Hatfield and Lena (Geiger) Hatfield. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and a long time employee of Bloomer Candy Company. She was a woman of strong faith, a kind heart, and a deep love for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, and looked forward to vacations, especially time spent with her cousins at Lake James in Indiana.

Sherry’s gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering faith are things that will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Sherry was blessed with two great brother in-laws which she enjoyed spending time with. Whatever she needed they were always there for her. She also enjoyed spending time with her cousin Donny Mohler and special friend Cheryl who visited often.

Sherry is survived by her twin sister Gerry (Robert) Gardner, and her sister MaryAnn (Paul) Wolfe, both of whom shared a special and enduring bond with her; nieces Stacey (John) Wilson, Jodi (Mike) Lowe, Courtney (Jarred) Jones, and Ashley (Steven) Wasylkiw; great nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the employees of Interim Hospice, Village Care and Foster Bridge. They are extremely thankful to Gina, Carol, Rachel and Tina who gave exceptional loving care to Sherry for many months.

They would also like to thank Sister Maureen, who would visit weekly, and all the friends and neighbors who kept Sherry in their prayers.

While our hearts are heavy with sadness, we find comfort in knowing that her faith has carried her home. Heaven has truly gained an angel.

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made in Sherry’s honor to the hospice care of your choice and the local animal shelter.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home where funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM with Fr. Chris Tuttle officiating. Burial will conclude at Mt. Olive Cemetery.

The Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave, Zanesville, is in charge of the arrangements.
