Shooting Investigation in Morgan Co.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Friday shooting.

It took place around 7:44am on Coal Street in the Village of Chesterhill. The sheriff’s office said that a caller reported someone had been shot in the basement of their home.

When officials arrived on the scene they said they found a deceased male with a single gunshot wound. Authorities said the man was identified as 32-year-old Trey D. Dixon of Glouster.

Morgan County Sheriff Douglas McGrath said an autopsy was ordered and several witnesses have been interviewed but no arrests have been made at this time.
