OSU Alumni Club Donates to Students in Need

ZANESVILLE, OH – The OSU Alumni Club of Muskingum County gave back to a local school Tuesday by making a donation of much needed items for students.
As a part of their winter service project, “Buckeyes Give”, the Alumni Club collected clothing, hygiene products, as well as cash donations to give to the students at Zanesville Community High School.
Jeff Moore, the Executive Director of the Zanesville Community High School, said this will be great for the kids at his school.
“They’re always looking and asking for different things and we see them,” Moore said. “Sometimes they won’t ask but we see them in need of things and this will help us out quite a bit.”
Terry Kopchak, President of the Alumni Club, said they usually do their service project in April but they decided to change it to a winter service project to benefit the kids.
“We understand that there’s a lot of students in need here and so we took up a collection among our membership of clothing, personal items, and cash,” Kopchak said. “We’re making a donation from the club itself of $200. It’s just something to help out and help out the students here at the Zanesville Community High School.”
