Muskingum County Businesses Invest in Local Growth
ZANESVILLE, OH – The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is celebrating a year of investment and growth among its members in 2023.
Muskingum County Chamber members have collectively invested over $50 million into their businesses throughout last year. This huge investment has been used for everything from fixing up buildings to upgrading business operations.
“It’s not new machines that they’ve bought, but this is actually improvements to their buildings like electrical upgrades, plumbing upgrades, and those type of things. It just goes to show that there’s continued investment in Muskingum County and our local businesses,” Chamber President, Dana Matz said.
This big step shows just how committed local businesses are to making Muskingum County a better place to live and work. Now in 2024, the Chamber of Commerce looks forward to remaining committed to supporting its members and celebrating their achievements and the continued revitalization of the community.
“The thing that’s exciting is, we have a very diverse industrial and commercial business makeup in Muskingum County. As industries fluctuate in successes and declines, ours is fairly level compared to other communities that may have major employees and most of the people in the community work there. That diversity helps us. We are forecasting more investment in our community businesses,” Matz said.
