Patty K. “Pat” (Campbell) Smith, 71, of Pleasant City, passed away Saturday (March 30, 2024) at Southeastern Med with her loved ones by her side.

She was born February 19, 1953 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Hugh E. “Boss” Campbell and Nellie Lucille (Wagner) Campbell.

A graduate of Meadowbrook High School, Pat worked for over fifteen years as an EMTA for United Ambulance. She was also a homemaker.

Pat was Christian by faith. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She also enjoyed planting flowers, gardening, shopping, crafting, and baking. She loved spending time with her five cats.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond D. Campbell, Stanley E. Campbell, and John B. Campbell; and three sisters, Lois “Tootie” Wiremen, Sharon Stevens, and Mary Stevens.

Pat is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, John R. Smith, whom she married on June 26, 1976; a son, Harold R. Everly II; a daughter, Christina M. (& Bill) Gibbs; a brother, Thomas (& Norma) Campbell of Pleasant City; a sister, Lynn Bates of Buffalo; five grandchildren, Courtney (& Jon) Devore II, Shelby (& Justin) Pierce, Austin Moore, Tim (& Lexie) Gibbs, and Marie Hoover; seven great-grandchildren, Kris, Sadie, Kason, Braxton, Easton, Waylon, and Amyah; and several loved nieces & nephews.

Per her wishes, private services will be held for the family. Burial will be at Halley’s Ridge Cemetery at a later date. Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, is handling arrangements.
