Fatal Accident on I-70

Cambridge, OH-  The Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal accident that took place Monday morning.

The accident took place around 9:40am on Interstate 70 westbound near State Route 209. Troopers said an SUV driven by 36-year-old Lora Kirkman of Cambridge, cut in front of a commercial truck while changing lanes and clipped the front of the truck. The contact caused her vehicle to run off the left side of the road and overturn. Authorities said Kirkman and a male passenger were ejected from the vehicle.

Kirkman was pronounced deceased at the scene while the male passenger was flown to Grant Medical Center in Columbus with serious injuries.

The driver of the commercial truck was uninjured.
