ZAAP: Featured Artists

Wednesday is the first of the month and that means that the First Friday Art Walk is Friday the 3rd.

This month ZAAP is featuring not one, but two artists this month. You will be able to get lost in oil and pastel paintings by Crystal Fuller and purchase stone and healing crystal jewelry by Anne Marie Kovach. Each artist told us what inspires them,

"Well, when I walk outside. It’s god’s glory all around us" says Fuller, "I am fascinated with that and that is what my work is about. It’s my time of medication and prayer, my quiet time."

"A lot of my trees, that I do, are not just arbitrary trees. People who come through on Friday will be able to read the stories. In fact I’ve molded certain trees after important trees in my life" says Kovach.

Fuller says that being a featured artist is a great honor, but its more than just that.

"You get a lot of feedback from your peers in the organization. That’s the best thing about the Zanesville Appalachian Art Project. The community of artists hold each other up, they share ideas, techniques."
