Zanesville, OH- The Zanesville Police Department is investigating the report of an attempted abduction.

It took place on McConnell Avenue around 1:30pm on Wednesday.

Zanesville Police Det. Sgt. Phil Michel said the reporting party was outside with her infant child when she said a man and woman parked in the driveway and a man exited the vehicle. Michel said the man stated he was with Child Protective Services and that he was here to take to the child. The woman felt something was wrong and ran into the house.

Authorities said another witness stated that the vehicle also came to the residence 45 minutes earlier and a different man was asking for an individual who did not live there.

The suspects are described as being Asian-Indian ethnicity. Both men were described as being 5’9. The suspected vehicle is a newer Nissan 4 door Sedan that was dark gray.
