Ronald LePage
Ronald G. (Ron) LePage, 84 of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on Friday (May 3, 2024) at his home surrounded by his beloved family after a courageous three-year battle with leukemia.
Ron was born March 26, 1940 to the late Frank O. and Edna M. (Jenkins) LePage. He was a member of the Cambridge High School class of 1958, and he retired from Kroger after 40 years of service. He was a 77 year member of the 9th Street United Methodist Church.
Ron was a proud member of the Guernsey Lodge 66 F&AM, where he was a past master, the Freeport Lodge #415 and the Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge. He was also a 50+ year member of both the Eagles Lodge #386 (past president) and the Elks Lodge #448. Ron also was a member of the Aladdin Shrine, Columbus and the Kambri Shrine Club, where he was the current treasurer. Ron served as Kambri Shrine Club president twice and received the meritorious service award. He was a “Roadrunner” for the Shrine Club where he made countless trips to multiple states transporting children to and from various Shriners hospitals. Ron was also a member of the National Rifle Association and the Ohio Gun Collectors Association.
Ron was lovingly known as Pap to almost all who knew him. Family and friends were the most important part of his life, and he was happiest when feeding them meat he prepared on his grill or in his smoker. He was a fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Guardians and enjoyed watching games with his wife and grandchildren. His hobbies included trap shooting, hunting, fishing and bowling.
Left to mourn his passing is his wife of 64 years Marie (Elaine) Neff LePage, who he married August 16, 1959; three children Randy LePage, Lisa (Mark) Skorich and Eric (Amy) LePage; daughter-in-law Jan LePage; grandchildren Tera (Garry) Neptune, Sadie (Cory) Williams, Joseph (Holly) Eckelberry, Lukas (Catherine) LePage, William LePage, Samuel (Drew Higgans) Eckelberry, Leah LePage and Andrew LePage; great-grandchildren Quentin (Britney Grannis) Casey, Cole (Laila Richards) Casey, Carver (Zoe) Casey, Leah and Robert Bernard, Paisley and Ivy Williams and Cash Eckelberry; great-great grandchildren Icelyn Casey, Slade and Oaklee Casey and Everest Casey. Ron also leaves his sister Margaret (Walter) Comin, several beloved in-laws and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his twin brother Donald D. LePage and his in-laws P. Raymond and Evalyn F. Neff.
Friends and family may call Tuesday (May 7, 2024 )from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville. Funeral services will be Wednesday (May 8, 2024) at 11 a.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, with Rev. Randolph White officiating.
Burial will follow at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
