Harley Ray Noland

Harley Ray Noland 86, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Monday evening, May 13, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born October 15, 1937, in Wills Creek, Ohio he was a son of the late Pearl (“PG”) and Ella M. (Pfeiffer) Noland and graduated high school while proudly serving in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Krishna ARL-38. He was a machinist in the U.S. Navy for six years and later worked and retired from American National Can. While working for American National Can, Harley took great pride in helping design and build the machine used to make Playtex bottle liners. He was a current member of Irville Lodge #184, F. & A. M. and a former member and Past Master of Frazeysburg Lodge #490, F. & A. M. Harley was a 32nd Degree Mason, being a member of the Ancient and Accepted Order of Scottish Rite, Valley of Cambridge. He was a Baptist by faith. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing the Ohio lottery, patrolling the streets of Frazeysburg on his golf cart and spending time with his family and friends. Harley never met a stranger and was always encouraging others to “have fun” because this was his motto, to find joy in each day.
He is survived by his four loving children; two sons, Tony (Holly) Noland of Frazeysburg and Wes (Dedi) Noland of Hopewell, Ohio; two daughters Vickie (Michael) Ford of Zanesville, Ohio and Karen (James) Horvath of Quaker City, Ohio; eleven grandchildren, Kyle (Stacey Morrison) Noland, Lindsey (Joe) Gracyk, Hannah (Austin Ridenour) Noland, Conor Noland, Ashley Beaver, Nathan Noland, Lacey (Heath) Holbrook, Kaleb (Rachel) Rainer, Seth Ford, Kyra (Craig Shipman) Horvath and Wyatt Horvath; thirteen great grandchildren, Chloe Noland, Lena Morrison, Landon Erwin, Sawyer Gracyk, Blade, Bentley, and Fayth Beaver, McKynlie, Adalynne, and Hayden Maurer, Maxwell and Jack Rainer, and Paisley Ford; his brothers, Roy (Sandy) Noland of Dresden, Donald (Charlene) Noland of Hopewell, Mike (Brooke) Noland of Costa Rica; sisters, Donna Foley and Judy Wagner, of Zanesville and sister-in-law Flo Noland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara M. Noland, whom he married September 24, 1960, and who died April 27, 2021; his brothers, Ralph, Vernon “Skip”, John, Roger, Ronnie and Ricky Noland and sisters, Elsie Garrett, Maxine Lockhart and Emma Poulson.
Calling hours will be 2pm to 5pm, Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street. Irville Lodge #184 will conduct Masonic services at the conclusion of calling hours at 5:00PM.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, May 20, 2024 at the funeral home with Minister Sam Dunn officiating with grandson, Kaleb Rainer providing family eulogy. Harley will be laid to rest beside his wife, Barbara, in Frazeysburg Cemetery. Veteran services will be conducted by Wakatomika Post #6193, VFW.
