Frank Gerrick

Frank Gerrick Jr., 90, a lifelong resident of the Senecaville area, passed away Thursday (May 30, 2024) at Astoria Place of Cambridge.
He was born September 26, 1933 in Guernsey County, son of the late Frank Gerrick Sr. and Mary (Pastovich) Gerrick.
Frank graduated from Senecaville High School in 1953. He worked for Ohio Power for many years as a surface worker at the coal mines.
He was a proud US Army veteran, having served from 1954 to 1956 and earning the rank of SP3 for his service. He was a member of the VFW Post 8040 of Buffalo.
Frank enjoyed vacationing to the ocean and sitting on his front porch. He was an avid coon hunter.
He was a member of the Senecaville Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Terra Bailey; his siblings; and a great-grandchild.
Frank is survived by his wife, Dixie (Secrest) Gerrick, whom he married January 17, 1956; two daughters, Tammy and Sandy Jo; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be held Monday (June 3, 2024) at 1 p.m. at the Senecaville Cemetery with Rev. Nancy Parsons officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council. Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Senecaville, is handling arrangements.
