R. Matthews “Matt” Plymire

R. Mathews “Matt” Plymire, 79, of Zanesville, passed away 5:08 AM, Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Select Medical of Southeast Ohio in Newark. He was born Monday, January 8, 1945, in Wilmington, OH, the son of Dr. Frank Grantham Plymire and Elizabeth (Steele) Plymire. He married Sondra (Snider) Plymire on Saturday, June 8, 1991, who survives.

Matt was very intelligent and, as a young man, he worked for several different companies. Accounting, retail, anything involving numbers was easy for him. By the late 1980’s he became interested in personal computers. Learning about them and how to use them kept him busy for the next 35 years. He repaired them, built them, programmed them and helped others learn to use them for their own purposes.

In addition to his wife Sandi, he is survived by two children, Angela Michele and Aaron Mathew; one sister, Fayanne Saunders of Wilmington; brother, Jim Plymire and several nieces and nephews.

Matt was preceded in death by his parents, and one daughter, Andrea Rene.
