Kowalski Chooses Ohio

Tri-Valley senior wrestler Kade Kowalski won’t venture far to pursue his collegiate wrestling career. The first state champion in school history and second in MVL history signed with the Ohio Bobcats on Tuesday at Tri-Valley High School.

Kowalski captured the 145-pound state championship with a 6-2 decision over Trey Grine of Fremont Ross in March. He is currently ranked 17th in the nation according to Flo Wrestling and 18th in the nation according to InterMat in the 152-pound weight class.

The future Bobcat says he plans to major in business at Ohio University. He chose the Green and White over Virginia Tech, Pitt and Edinboro, among others.
