William Albright

William “Bill” R. Albright, of Byesville, passed away June 18, 2024. Bill was a beloved member of the community and a devoted family man and friend.
Bill was born January 4, 1946, the son of the late Henry “Hank” and Margaret (Dolney) Albright. He was married to Peggy (Knouff) on May 4, 1967. He was raised in Byesville, a city he held dear to his heart. Bill graduated from Byesville High School in 1963. He was active in Byesville council for many years.
Bill loved to support the local sports teams by going to the games with his friends. He was a past member of the Meadowbrook Boosters and enjoyed coaching youth sports while his children were growing up. Bill was a huge fan of Ohio State sports and tried to never miss a game. Bill was also an avid fisherman. He enjoyed fishing at Seneca Lake and other area fishing spots for most of his life.
He attended the Byesville Main Avenue Methodist Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 654 in Byesville.
Bill kept busy with friends and enjoyed doing many things around the community after retiring from Champion Federal Mogul.
Bill cherished every moment he could spend with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were his pride and joy, and he never missed a chance to tell them he loved them. Bill will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Fabian; a brother, Zeke Masters; and several aunts, uncles, and close friends.
Bill is survived by his wife, Peggy, of Byesville; his three children, Troy (Regina) Albright of Zanesville, Angie (Scott) Montgomery of Zanesville, and Kristi (Scott) Headley of Zanesville; his three grandchildren, Owen, Emily (KJ), and Dustin (Taylor); his step-grandchildren, Ashley, Kelsie (Jordan), Brianna (Andrew), Tyler (Vanessa), and Justin; his great-grandchildren, Bryant, Hadley, Kendalyn, and Koleson; and his step-great-grandchildren, Everleigh, Brayleigh, Emma, Myles, and Maverick. He is also survived by a brother, Jim Albright; a sister, Connie Uplinger; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday (June 20, 2024) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where Masonic services will begin at 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, on Friday (June 21, 2024) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Debbie Gheen officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
