PNC Branch Closing

The downtown will be short a business at the end of February.

In a letter sent to PNC Bank Customers the financial institution said it’s closing their doors on their Fourth Street location, February 20.

PNC said based on customer feedback customers are using branches differently today based on on-line, mobile and tablet banking along with advanced functions on ATMs.

Therefore after a careful study the bank decided to close the 4th Street location. PNC tells customers they will not have to make any changes with their accounts.

A representative of PNC said this is part of a larger consolidation of bank branches across the country. The spokesperson said that it’s too early to say  what will happen to the employees that currently work at the branch, but in generally they try to place those employees at other branches.
