Nancy Jennings

Nancy L. Jennings, 85, of Zanesville, died Friday afternoon, June 14, 2024, at Altercare Somerset.

She was born at home on March 26, 1939, in Bolivar, Ohio, a daughter of the late Russell James and Margaret (Britt) Woodrow and a 1957 graduate of Rosecrans High School.  She retired from the Zanesville Country Club after 20 years as the Payroll Administrator and 10 years as Administrator Assistant.

She is survived by children, Daniel (Szylvia) Jennings and Diane (Kenneth) Miller; four grandchildren, Chelsea (Daniel) Prokop, Elyse (Curtis) Atkins, Jessie and Josh; ten great grandchildren, Sailor, Dawson, Ty, Matilda, Theodore, Macey, Aiden, Sky, Riley, and Knox; a brother, John Woodrow; two sisters, Carol Smith and Margaret Place; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Alfred Jennings, who she married June 6, 1959, and he died November 20, 2001, and a son, David Jennings.

The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the staff at Altercare Somerset for their compassion and exceptional care of Nancy during her stay there.

Nancy will be laid to rest with her son David, at Greenwood Cemetery.

The Dresden Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home is assisting the family.
