Dona Wilson

Dona Sue (Leasure) Wilson, 92, was called to join the Lord on June 22, 2024. Born on June 10, 1932, in Crooksville, Ohio to the late Chester and Mildred (Hankinson) Leasure, Dona Sue was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her.
She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a life well-lived and full of laughter and love. Dona Sue servedwith devotion as the secretary at Crooksville High School for over 30 years. During her tenure, she touched the lives of countless students and faculty with her grace and unwavering support.
A woman of deep faith, Dona Sue was a dedicated member of Maple Avenue Christian Church. Her belief was the cornerstone of her existence. She lived her faith through teaching Sunday and Bible School to children, singing in the choir and working countless dinners fundraising for mission causes.
She was a devoted mother to David (Toni) Wilson of Somerset, Susan (Steve) Landerman of Hilliard, and Michael (Jo) Wilson of Wheeling. Her children were her pride and joy, and she instilled in them the values of kindness, and faith. She attended their activities and was always there to support their efforts.
Her love extended to her grandchildren, Travis Wilson, Melanie (Ross) Walker, Bradley (Mallory)Wilson, Rachel Landerman-Hayes (Aaron), and her great-grandchildren, Wilson, Liesel and Hogan Walker, and Carter and Stella Wilson. All are blessed with her wisdom, support, encouragement and unconditional love.
Dona Sue was reunited in heaven with her husband, Joseph B. Wilson, who preceded her in death on April 14, 2012, and was also greeted by her sister, Georgene (Thomas) Brannon. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2:30pm, Wednesday August 7, 2024 in Mt. Horeb Cemetery, near Crooksville, with her niece Reverend Amy (Brannon) Shipley officiating.
