Thomas Signs Letter of Intent
Crooksville infielder Keely Thomas is one of the most-feared power hitters in the MVL, belting a school-record six home runs as a junior.
Today, the Ceramic’s efforts were rewarded.
Thomas signed a national letter of intent to the University of Rio Grande, which is about an hour and 45 minutes away from Crooksville. The Red Storm finished 30-20 last season.
The third baseman was a second-team all-district selection and first-team all-MVL honoree as a junior, hitting .351 with a .462 on-base percentage and .772 slugging percentage. She also recorded 19 RBI in 57 plate appearances.
"I’ve wanted to play college softball since I was a little girl and it’s finally coming true and I can’t wait," Thomas said.
